Congratulations to Sibylle Peretti – Corning Museum Acquisition
January 31, 2025
We here at Habatat wanted to share the news that artist Sibylle Peretti’s monumental wall sculpture has just been acquired by the Corning Museum of Glass.
I am deeply honored to announce the acquisition of “After the Flood Before the Storm” by the Corning Museum of Glass. The 12-panel glass wall relief was the centerpiece of my recent exhibition at Callan Contemporary “diluvial land- where diamonds grow”. The resilience of New Orleans and other vulnerable urban landscapes in the face of human expansion and climate change was the guiding theme of my work in that show. Imagine a post-flood world where animals and hybrid plants, using remnants and human artifacts, to build a stronger more resilient world.
