Habatat Galleries and the Longboat Key Center for the Arts invite you to to the 2nd Annual Art Glass Weekend!
The events will be occurring January 28th - 31st at the Longboat Key Center for the Arts in Sarasota Florida along with a few other locations.
Last year in American Art Collector magazine, Sarasota was identified as the “new art glass mecca” due to the collections, museums, art centers, galleries, and the growing number of artists working with glass that now live in the region. Contemporary Glass has become an exciting focus along the Gulf Coast of Florida.
We would like to invite you to an amazing 4-day glass experience which includes exhibitions, auctions, private collection tours, talks by internationally noted artists, and tours of museums. All of this is taking place on the beautiful West Coast of Florida!

Longboat Key Center for the Arts, a division of Ringling College and Habatat Galleries of Michigan have collaborated once again to coordinate this second annual contemporary art glass weekend. It is designed to excite seasoned collectors as well as anyone who enjoys the medium of glass!

Events include:
*Thursday 5:30 - 8:00 pm - Michael Taylor Solo show
*Friday 1:30 - 4:00 pm - Longboat Key Glass Home Tours
*Friday 6:30 pm - Masterworks: An International Glass Auction
*Saturday - many events including glass talks, Basch Ringling Glass tour.
*Saturday 6:30 - 8:30 Commentaries: Stories Told In Glass Opening
*Sunday 10:30 am - 12:00 pm - Beauty in the Abstract: Artist Expressions in Glass
